I Went Digital~

Happy Thursday Krafters!
Today I am here to share with you my first digital layout. This one was done a few months ago during National Scrapbooking Day. I remember saying that I would only do one challenge that day since it was my first time participating, but when I did the first, I was hooked for the rest of the day. I decided at the final moments to join a challenge where we had to use photos from a vacation or stay-cation. Since I didn’t have any of those type of photos printed and there was about 45 minutes to the close of the challenge, I had to do something. Why not try my hand at a digital layout. I did just that!
I bought Photoshop Elements 8 a few months earlier just to clean up pictures. Since I had it, I figured I should use it. In 2009 during the winter break, my DH and I took our daughters to the Museum. It was really fun and the pictures turned out great. My original idea was to open one of the pictures to use as my background paper by fading it. I quickly realized that it has been about eight years since I did anything like this and was totally clueless on where to start. Wow, things have changed over the years! Anywho, I found some templates in the program. When I saw the Africa map, I knew it would be a perfect match with the photographs! I matted my photos, added the title, made a quick journaling box and that was that!
I need to play around in PE8 more! I had so much fun creating this project. Because of this jog down memory lane, I have been inspired to try my hand at another digital layout. Thank you for sharing my digital journey with me J
