Hello All!

I was in an ATC swap at sb.com. For this swap, we had to make three ATCs that had to include a bird and or a butterfly. I decided to include both on mine. I used a Poppy Stamp die for the birdcage. The birds and butterfly cameos came from my stash. I colored them with some acrylic paint to go with the 7 Gypsies Conservatory Paper collection. Not pictured, but I also used a stamp from that same collection on the back.

You know when you have a deadline to meet and once you're done, are not completely happy with the end results although I am happy with the technique. Whelp, that is the case with today’s project! I had two whole hours and this is what I came up with. Not happy! Yep, this was the Mask It Mist It Challenge during NSBD! I had fun making it, but….now the picture has personal meaning which I will not bore you with the details. So it was titled “Da Bootie”. I know it is spelled “booty” (treasure), but again there is a story behind the title J

Hello Krafters!

It’s Krafthead here to share another quick project. I have to admit, I struggle with masculine cards. However, the Bo Bunny Timepiece Collection gives me great inspiration! I LOVE this collection. My FIL recently retired and I felt this was the perfect paper for the occasion.

The card base is Paper Trey Ink Kraft cardstock. On the cardstock, I used the stamp from the Timepiece Collection even though there was a design already on the paper. I used the same stamped image and cut it out using the labels 18 Nestabilities Die. To change the color of the die cut piece, I used my bronze homemade glimmer mist.  I also stamped on an extra piece of Kraft cardstock.

I distressed the edges of the pattern paper and Kraft cardstock with the Zutter Distress-it-All and then inked it with Walnut stain. I added white and brown brads to the corners, timepiece and die cut piece. For a little texture, I wrapped some tan embossing floss. To finish the front, I did some faux stitching around the base and middle.

For interest in the inside, I stamped the image in two corners as I did on the outside.  I cut my sentiment area with the labels 18 die. I used a piece of scrap pattern paper as well. That’s all folks J
