I'll Always Be Proud Of You!

Happy Friday Krafters!

I am still participating in a few challenges on sb.com. So I am sharing one from the Lift the Person Before You Challenge. You can see the original here.

I was going through my “well loved” AKA need to be cleaned craftroom and came across this photo of my oldest when she turned three. To give you all a little history of why this layout is titled “I’ll Always Be Proud of You”, my baby girl was born with a Brachial Plexuses injury. This was a devastating time in DH’s and my life. However, it turned out to be one of the biggest blessing too! As a result of her injuries, she was in the Birth-to-Three program. This picture was taken at her completion (when she turned three). She has overcome so many obstacles and no matter what happens in her life, I will ALWAYS be proud of her!

I used the Imagine Blossom Cartridge for all of the pattern papers. The cupcakes were cut from the Birthday Bash Cartridge. I topped it with white puffy paint, but it changed to pink because the Imagine ink is water based. It turned out great though! I layered them on some solid paper so they would not be lost in the pattern. I heat embossed the title and used a Fiskars punch to replicate stitching (much easier than faux stitching). The Polaroid was cut from a DCWV Regent Street stack (saw someone do something similar in a magazine while waiting at the cash register). I added a few other touches and the layout was complete!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Have a great weekend, Krafthead~

We see brachial plexus injuries on my unit, and it's a long road to overcome, so I can only imagine how proud you and your hubby are to overcome her therapy.
