Hello Krafters!
Today over at Practical Scrappers we are showcasing cards and layout for weddings! This was the first wedding photo I scrapped....sad but true! This gave me a little more confidence to work on this project a little more diligently.
Lately, I have been in a fussy cutting mood and this project has a lot of fussy cutting. I cut the frame from the paper collection. The appliques were also cut from various places in the collection. They make really nice fillers :)
I hope you enjoyed today's project! Don't forget to pop over to Practical Scrappers for more inspiration! Krafthead~

Altered Fan-G45 A Ladies Diary
Hi Krafters!
I have another project using that beautiful A Ladies Diary paper by G45! Martica opened up another group (altered fans) for those of us who were done with our projects. This project took me out of my comfort zone since I never altered anything like this before. I had so much fun with this one and yes there is a lot of fussy cutting on this one too!
The fan pattern was cut from chipboard (2x) using the Pagoda Cricut Cartridge. I painted it with ivory Folk Art Paint. Once it dried, I used crackle paint and sealed it with Mod Podge. All of the layers made the fan sturdier. Between the layers, I added the lace. Again, my sister Kelli rak'ed me that beautiful lace!
I hope you enjoyed another project using G4's A Ladies Diary. Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead~

Altered Journal-G45 A Ladies Diary
Hello Krafters!
I was asked if I wanted to participate in a swap using the beautiful A Ladies Diary by G45. I was so honored that Martica invited me! Anyone who knows who she is can say her work is the BOMB! There were a number of categories to choose from. I decided to do an altered journal. All of the participants of the swap thought it would be even better if it was a secret sister swap! So for this posting, I am only sharing the parts of the journal since it is personalized for the recipient.
There was A LOT of fussy cutting on this one guys and can I say it was WELL worth it!! Did I mention this collection is beautiful! I also wanted to mention my sister Kelli raked me the lace (thank you Sis) :) I sprayed it with Lindy's Clam Bake Beige...perfect!
I hope you all enjoyed today's project using that luscious paper! Have a great day, Kenya

Practical Scrappers DT Project: 1 of 7 Cards/Layouts Using Pins
Hi Krafters!
Today I am sharing a Practical Scrappers DT project! Pop on
over to see seven cards/layouts using pins. Here is my idea.
I decided to use the pins as chopsticks. I used the Pagoda
cartridge for all of the cuts. I also used DCWV Far East Stack for the papers. This
was SO fun to make and it felt good to give Pagoda a little bit of loving J For the noodles, I took
some string I had in my stash. For the Kanji word (warmth) I used Diamond
Stickles.
That is it! I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Don’t forget
to go over to the Practical Scrappers Blog for more inspiration from the
TALENTED DT, Krafthead~

I'll Always Be Proud Of You!
Happy Friday Krafters!
I am still participating in a few challenges on sb.com. So I
am sharing one from the Lift the Person Before You Challenge. You can see the
original here.
I was going through my “well loved” AKA need to be cleaned
craftroom and came across this photo of my oldest when she turned three. To give
you all a little history of why this layout is titled “I’ll Always Be Proud of
You”, my baby girl was born with a Brachial Plexuses injury. This was a devastating
time in DH’s and my life. However, it turned out to be one of the biggest
blessing too! As a result of her injuries, she was in the Birth-to-Three
program. This picture was taken at her completion (when she turned three). She
has overcome so many obstacles and no matter what happens in her life, I will
ALWAYS be proud of her!
I used the Imagine Blossom Cartridge for all of the pattern
papers. The cupcakes were cut from the Birthday Bash Cartridge. I topped it
with white puffy paint, but it changed to pink because the Imagine ink is water
based. It turned out great though! I layered them on some solid paper so they
would not be lost in the pattern. I heat embossed the title and used a Fiskars
punch to replicate stitching (much easier than faux stitching). The Polaroid was cut from a DCWV Regent Street stack (saw someone do something similar in a magazine while waiting at the cash register). I added a few
other touches and the layout was complete!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Have a great weekend,
Krafthead~

Dream Big....Think Big!
Happy Thursday Krafters!
I am so happy to be sharing my first project for Scraps of Color E:spire!!
For today’s project I am sharing a graduation layout of my
sister-in-law. It was so fun to create!
When I first started scrapbooking, I was afraid of pattern
papers. Once I felt more comfortable, I dabbled in personalizing the paper to
fit my specific need. Since my SIL is young and fun, I played around with sprays,
masks and Gesso to add more interest to the pattern paper. I love how a few
splatters of paint and a few squirts of spray can change the whole dynamics of
a page! Remember, there is no right or wrong in scrapbooking ;)
I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by SOC's blog for more projects, Kenya

Practical Scrappers DT-Vellum
Hello Krafters,
I am proud to show my first project as a Practical Scrapper! Today's theme was to use vellum 10 different ways. I opted to do dry and wet embossing on vellum. Check out the Practical Scrappers Blog for more ideas on how to use vellum on your projects! There are some really neat projects on there!
I used DCWV's Natural Stack for the pattern paper. I layered the vellum on top after running it through the Script embossing folder. This adds a nice amount of texture and elegance to a project. I especially like to do this technique on wedding cards or sympathy cards. I also embossed the vellum leaf with the Swiss Dot embossing folder in the flower spray (Wild Orchid Crafts Poppy Flowers).
For the sentiment, I used Versa Mark and white embossing powder. I really love the look of embossing on vellum! I backed it with a piece of cardstock so the sentiment does not get lost in the pattern.
To finish off the card, I punched out the borders out of the pattern papers and used the Picot Spellbinders Die for the sentiment. I also did faux stitching around the card.
I hope you enjoyed today's project. Remember to check out PracticalScrappers daily for projects and inspiration! Krafthead~
***TIP*** I like to use the Zig 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere vellum to a project. It is virtually invisible and holds vellum well too :)!

Monday July 9-Software
Hi Krafters!
Today I do not have a project to share, but I did want to post on my usual day. Kind of a long post...but not really LOL!
Last year, I bought a back up laptop to my original laptop just in case something happened. That laptop gave me the white screen of death a few months after purchasing the new one. I was grateful for having my back up laptop so I did not miss a beat. I started using the new one exclusively less than a year ago. Last week my laptop screen fizzed out. WHAT??? I thought I would get more use out of it before it died :( I am lost without my laptop! ALL of my programs are on there to include Photoshop, Silhouette Studio, FunTime and CCR!! I was on the verge of tears! I have other means to get on the internet, but not for my beloved crafts! Why oh why didn't I put PSE on the desktop??? I can't edit my photos! The good news is my laptop is being repaired. However, it will be days before I get it back! They believe the EXTREME heat we have been experiencing had something to do with it!
The moral of the post is:
1. ALWAYS have a back up computer/laptop
2. Have your software on more than one computer!
3. Back-up your pictures and documents OFTEN!
4. Keep your electronics in a cool area!!! ALWAYS!!!
I hope this post can help someone or at least remind my readers to take precautions so you are not stuck like Chuck...like me...Krafthead~

Grunge ATC
Hi Krafters!
In April or May, I participated in an ATC swap hosted by Queenbeescreations. The theme was grunge. I had so much fun putting them together!
For the base, I took plain white cardstock and grunged it up! I used distress ink, bubble wrap, stains, Lindy's Stamp Gang, background stamps and crackle paint. Then I used an embossing folder and tore it to futher distress it. I used Inka Gold to make it look distressed. The pattern paper and the ticket is is from DCWV's Tattered Time. The butterfly was punched out using the Martha Stewart punch and it was stamped with white ink. Then I embossed it.
The gears were cut from the Spellbinder dies. I painted them and embossed them. I used Inka Gold to distress it.
I added a clock charm and chain to finish off the design.
I hope you all enjoyed this grungy delight! I love how it turned out! Thank you all for stopping by! Krafthead~

Fun in the Sun-Happy 4th!
Hey Everyone!
Glossy Accents
I am sharing another ATC from a swap I was in at sb.com. For
this swap, I chose the interactive cards. We had to make some component on the
card move in some way. I decided to do a slider with a hidden message. I am
also proud to say, my Cricut got some loving too J
so this ATC was also submitted in the Cricut Challenge as well.
Since I went with a beach theme, I used real sand
(decorative). I used the Life’s a Beach Cricut Cartridge and the All Wrapped Up
Imagine Cartridge for the colors and patterns. The flower on the flip flop is a
Recollections flower with bling in the center.
Thank you all so much for following, stopping by and leaving
love! You all are much appreciated! Krafthead~
