Good Job

Hi Krafters,

A dear friend of mine asked me to make a card for her daughter who has been on the honor roll three consecutive times. Her favorite colors are purple and gold. Talk about pressure! She wanted something special to present to her daughter after the program. She could have went to the store and bought a card but she entrusted me to be a part of this special day! I wanted to do right by her.....She was very happy with it and so was her daughter :) whew!!

I did not want to over complicate things, so overall I kept it simple. I made an easel card. I used a combination of Grade School and High School by DCWV and Me & My Big Idea School stack. There isn't much purple and gold in any of the stacks so I used plain cardstock and used complimentary colors to keep it in line with the school theme but showcase her favorite colors. Most of the embellishments were fussy cut from the papers. For a playful twist, I used puffy paint to accentuate the chalk and Stickles to the stars.

I hope you enjoyed today's project! Thank you so much for stopping by, Krafthead~
