I Love U-Practical Scrappers DT Project

Happy Tuesday Krafters!

Today over at Practical Scrappers it is time to explore staples and paperclips! We have altered paperclips, multicolored staples and more! For my project, I tried to do something out of my comfort zone. I made my sentiment out of paperclips! Since Valentine’s Day is this week and I needed a card for hubby, it just made sense to go in this direction. Yep, you guessed it; a masculine card! Go over there and check us out!

I cut down some scrap pieces of metallic paper (DCWV metallic mat stack) and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Diamond Plate embossing folder. This was layered on top of red cardstock. I added three red brads (WRMK) to the middle of the squares to keep it “valentine”.

I bent large paper clips using jewelry making tools (I have no idea what they are called. I just have them in my stash). This was not as easy as I had imagined it in my head, but I still like how the sentiment turned out!

Turning paperclips into titles is a good way to keep project masculine or even in mixed media! I had so much fun sharing this project and I hope you enjoyed it as well. Please stop by Practical Scrappers to get more ideas using paperclips and staples! Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead~
