Just A Note: Brown

Hello Krafters!

Today, I want to share a simple card. Lately, I have really been into browns. I had some sheer ribbon with cream dots and the ribbon was the inspiration. I used a lot of favorites on this one!

As you all know, I love the Picot Edge Spellbinder Die…so I HAD to use it. I also used the Top Note die..another favorite of mine J. I also used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace and the Doily punches. On the mat, I used an embossing to add texture. I added a simple sentiment that can be used for an array of occasions. To finish it off, I added a daisy with a pearl center. I placed other pearls to finish the design.

That completes today’s project. I appreciate every visit and comment! Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead~

Scraps?

Hello Krafters!

Today, I am sharing a really simple card. I used the scraps from the altered journal I shared Monday. I added sheer ribbon to the top and added a daisy that was colored with the Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. A piece of bling was added to the center. I stamped the sentiment Celebrate with Close to Cocoa Stampin’ Up Ink. I also added flowers from my stash and a butterfly charm.

That is it! Short and sweet right? This is a good way to use those scraps and have a card in your stash for those “I need a card now” moments! Thank you all for stopping by, Krafthead~

Day 6- Operation Countdown to Christmas

Hello Krafters,

Happy Monday Krafters!
Krafthead here to share a home décor idea. I made this for my DH for his prayer room. The frame I altered he said it was too “girly”! Anywho, this was inspired by a large poster I saw naming all of the names that Christ is called.
I took plain white cardstock and wet it with homemade glimmer mist. While it was still wet, I crumpled up the cardstock to further distress it. For the edges, I used walnut stain distress ink as well as Close to Cocoa and a little Black Soot.
As the cardstock dried, I typed out the many names of Christ on transparencies. Put it all together (in the altered frame) and it made a inexpensive home décor item!
Thanks for stopping by for day six of the Operation Countdown to Christmas. Krafthead~
