Quick "Over the Moon" Valentine's Day Post

Happy Valentine's Day Krafters,

You know I could not let this special day go by without popping my head in for a moment. I believe we should so our love towards those special people in our lives each day, but it is nice to have a day set aside to celebrate it! Today I am sharing a Valentine's Day card I made for my hubby! I am sure he is going to like it :)

I did not want to spend a lot of time for this so I used papers from Recollections' Love Letter stack and the stamp set by CTMH (I purchased it with the Art Philosophy cartridge). I fussy cut some of the elements from the paper stack. For the other paper embellishments, I embossed the images using the stamp set and Lindy's Stamp Gang. It has a little gold in it. It looks great in person because it matches the paper, but when moved you can see the gold hint.

That's it! A simple way to say I love you!! Enjoy the rest of your day! Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead~

Cotton Candy

Hello Krafters!

Today, I would like to share a card I made for a teacher. My daughter went on a class fieldtrip to Chuck E. Cheese and the teacher bought her some cotton candy. I thought that was very "sweet" of her! I decided to put that Cricut into action! This card is simple, simple, simple! I used the County Fair cartridge for the cotton candy. I used the Musical Flourish embossing folder to the candy part and added flocking to make it look cotton candy like J.

For the card, I welded two shapes from Elegant Edges and did another layer for the mat in the same shape. The pattern paper is from DCWV’s Sweet Mat Stack. I used Art Philosophy for the sentiment tag. I distressed the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

That is it! I took the picture with my phone....Thank you so much for stopping by, Krafthead~

Copic Coloring.....

Hello Krafters!

We all know Copics can become expensive to collect! I have collected a good amount.  I decided enough is enough! I have to get my money’s worth…right?

Ok, I admit, I am not the best Copic colorer (yeah I know that is not a word), but I thought I would give it a whirl! A little over a year ago, I took a beginner’s course and really enjoyed it. I then enrolled in an intermediate course, but it ended abruptly because the owner fell ill. So aside from coloring pearls and bling, I haven’t done much coloring L

My girl, Netta (hey girl! thank you!), RAKed me some stamps because I wanted to practice. I played it safe with this one because I am not that good at blending colors….YET! Here it is:

To embellish the card, I cut the image with a Nestability. I used the Art Philosophy cart and compatible stamp for the sentiment and the rolled flowers were cut from AP. Since I forgot to cut leaves, I used the Martha Stewart Branch Punch for the leaves. I also used a piece of satin ribbon to finish it off.

I hope you all like it J This card was so fun to make and I am proud of how it turned out! Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead

Rated R-Mature Audience Only

Happy Friday Krafters!
I went back and forth about posting this project. I am hosting a challenge using your Cricut over on scrapbook.com. The theme of the challenge is love/romance. That said, I did a “for mature audience” card. It is intended to be playful. So I hope I am not going to offend anyone by posting this.
I used the Tinkerbell and Friends Cricut Cartridge for the girl. Now I must admit, I bought this cartridge for this purpose (joke for DH, my friend and her DH). I colored her eyes with a glitter pen instead of using the cut (it was too small) and used another gel pen for the eye shadow. For her outfit, I layered a piece of lace to add the effect of lingerie. I added more lace to the faux pillow next to her and added a heart brad.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by and leave a comment …Krafthead~
