Tags, Tags, TAGS!!

Hey Krafters!

Today over at Practical Scrappers it is all about tags! Tags are so versatile! They can be used for journaling, add a little something to a background or do what I love to do, ALTER them!! Before I go on to the project, stop by Practical Scrappers to see how our talented design team used tags! You are in for a treat!

My husband works in a factory and from time to time, he will have a shipping tag. On the tag, there was some writing. I used white Gesso to cover up the shipping verbiage. Once the Gesso was dried, I used Distress Stains, sprays and inks and stamps for the background.  I fussy cut the image from G45’s A Ladies Diary. I also used a gardenia from Stamping Scrapping. I added three layers of lace and two rows of pearls.

I could have added more flowers and charms. However, I really wanted to keep this project simple and not over embellished.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project!  Don’t forget to pop over to Practical Scrappers! Thank you so much for stopping by, Krafthead~

Practical Scrappers DT Project-Sew Fun

Hello Krafters,

Today over at Practical Scrappers, we are having "sew" much fun today! Yep, you guessed it! It is all about sewing notations today! Pop over by Practical Scrappers to see the DT's creations!

For my project, I used the Imagine and a piece of G45's A Ladies Diary for the pattern paper. The measuring tape and the stitching came from the Heirloom stack by DCWV. I stamped the dress form with Momento (brown) ink. I added a button to it.  To continue on with the theme of sewing, I added a few charms I had in my stash. I also decided to use a stick pin to add a finished look.

I hope you enjoyed today's project! Thank you all for stopping by! Krafthead~

Altered Journal-G45 A Ladies Diary

Hello Krafters!
I was asked if I wanted to participate in a swap using the beautiful A Ladies Diary by G45. I was so honored that Martica invited me! Anyone who knows who she is can say her work is the BOMB! There were a number of categories to choose from. I decided to do an altered journal. All of the participants of the swap thought it would be even better if it was a secret sister swap! So for this posting, I am only sharing the parts of the journal since it is personalized for the recipient.

There was A LOT of fussy cutting on this one guys and can I say it was WELL worth it!! Did I mention this collection is beautiful! I also wanted to mention my sister Kelli raked me the lace (thank you Sis) :) I sprayed it with Lindy's Clam Bake Beige...perfect!

The back:

I hope you all enjoyed today's project using that luscious paper! Have a great day, Kenya
