Hello Krafters!
Spring/summer is known as Wedding Season! My girlfriend
celebrated her one year wedding anniversary in May. I am so proud of how much
she has grown and matured during this year as a wife. As a gift, I wanted to make
them something special. I asked for ideas on a forum and Gina linked a picture
of a tile her friend Tracy did. I have done my fair share of tiles, but nothing
like this! I was instantly drawn to it and decided that was the perfect gift! So
this project was lifted from Tracy.
This is a 6.5”x6.5” tile I purchased at a home improvement
store. I printed a picture of them on their wedding day (it is my favorite) on
tissue paper. I decided to use a color photo because it popped more off of the
tile. I cut the letters in vinyl using my Cameo. I used Mod Podge to adhere the photo
and to seal the tile. Once it was dry, I tied some tulle around the tile and
glued on a curly rose from I Am Roses along with a spray I had in my stash.
So they can showcase their tile, I put together an easel
which is a Silhouette Studio file. I could not believe how easy it is to put
together AND how sturdy it is! A tile is NOT light! One of the best purchases
to date J
I hope you enjoyed today’s project! It was fun to make!
Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead~
