Let's Hear It For The Boys!

Continuing with the celebration, I have a few young men from my church graduating in two weeks. I have to admit, I don't get an opportunity to make cards or projects for males. So I did struggle a bit. I tried to stay as masculine without going girly. I am not completely happy with it because it seem like it is missing something, but learned over the course of the year that sometimes less is good enough.

I cut "congrats" out from the DCWV Metallic Stack and the blue shadow is cardstock from my stash. I replaced the star that was originally attached to the congrats cut and replaced it with a graduation cap. A black brad was used to hold the tassel in place. I used the Script Cuttlebug embossing folder on the black cardstock although it hard to see from the photo. I pulled out my scallop deco scissors (cut opposite way as opposed to the scalloped edge) to cut a frame around the white and added silver brads. Not the prettiest of cards, but thank you for looking ;-P

P.S. Don't forget to leave a message on Tuesday's posting for a chance to win in the giveaway. Winner will be announced Saturday, May, 21 by noon CST
