ATC Swap

Hello Krafters!

I’m here to share with you some ATCs I made for a swap over on YouTube. This is my first time doing ATCs as well as a swap-with the exception of swapping goodies! I really hope the recipients like them.

I used my Cricut and Gypsy to design these. The cuts are from Christmas Noel (wreath), Joys of the Season (stockings) and Christmas Cheer (fireplace and candles). For the wreath, I also used the Martha Stewart pine tree branch punch (discontinued).

For the fireplace: Since I don’t have the Sizzix brick embossing folder (I so want it badly), I used one of my Cuttlebug folders that was as close to a brick pattern as possible. I used fire brick distress ink and black soot to make it look as if the fireplace is used.

Steelers Birthday

Hello Krafters!

I am here to share a quick card I made for my Pastor. He is a Pittsburg Steelers fan (smh) so I thought I would have a little fun with it. The card is really straight forward. I used MTC to make this card. On the inside, I used my Cuttlebug die and the matching embossing to make an area for the sentiment.

SSSCT Project-Name Plate

Hello Krafters!

I’m here to share my first Scrappin with Sharon & Smokey Creative Team project. Since I upload videos to YouTube, I figured it would only be right to make a name plate. I used two cutting files from Sharon’s store. I also used the MTC software and my beloved Gazelle!  

For this project, I wanted to incorporate some of my favorite things. I love lilies, especially Calla Lillies! To me, they are the prettiest flowers. When I saw this file (RM00119), I knew I had to use it! File RM00119 was used to make ALL of the flowers! I used distress ink, Copics and a black pen to make the flowers to look a bit more realistic. They were really easy to assemble.

The frame was cut using file RM00155. I cut it out using thick cardstock (it cut very smooth). I painted it white and then used black Crackle Paint for a distressed look.

I added lace to the bottom with a strand of pearls (Karla’s Etsy). I also used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  I didn’t want to over embellish so I kept this very simple.

*TIP* I recommend misting the pieces to roll the flowers OR taking an embossing tool and distress the petals until they curl***

The Cause Meets My Favorite Team

Hello Krafterrs!

Everywhere I go, I see tumblers! I have been trying to get my hands on some for a long time and not pay an arm and a leg for them. I finally found two at Marshall’s. They were two in a pack for $5.99 and they are the double wall ones too!  I wish they had more! Anywho, I LOVE the Detroit Lions (since the 80s) and because this is breast cancer awareness month, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to meld the two.

I used my Gazelle (I have I mentioned how much I love this cutter?) and the Make-the-Cut software (I so love this software….awesome!). I found the logo, brought it into MTC. It traced beautifully!

I think I was a little too ambitious with trying to do three colors since this is my first tumbler, but I think all in all it came out great! Thanks for looking! Krafthead~
