Happy Birthday-Practical Scrappers DT Project
Hi Krafters,
Today over at Practical Scrappers we are celebrating
birthdays! There are so many different styles of cards. I don't know about you,
but can't you use more card ideas; especially birthday cards. Go check them
out! My card was lifted from Jess Larsen. I really
like the simplicity of it, but it has a little something that makes it special
with the ability to be interactive. She used a die. I made a cut file using
Make the Cut. I fussy cut the images from the DCWV Celebrations Stacks and the
sentiment. I also used a Cuttlebug birthday embossing folder for the front. To
finish off the card, I used Tendy Twine and used a button on my stash.
It is short and sweet today! I hope you enjoyed today's
project. Remember to visit Practical Scrappers for more inspiration. Krafthead~

B&W Thinking of You 'Birthday" Card
Hey Krafters,
I have been in a black and white mood lately. I really love
the combination with a splash of color. To me, you can never go wrong. Also,
the cards can be used for almost any occasion.
Anywho, here is my card share for today. I used three Spellbinders
sets (I can't remember the names off hand other than the classic oval) to
create four layers. I stamped and embossed the sentiment. For dimension, I
popped up some of the layers and added shear ribbon. I used I Am Roses and Wild
Orchid Craft flowers to embellish and finish off the card. Although I have the
"thinking of you" sentiment, I used this as a birthday. The inside, (not
pictured) said on your birthday.
Well that's it!! I hope you enjoyed today's project. Thanks

Happy About Spring-Practical Scrappers DT Project
Hello Krafters!
Who is ready for spring? I know I am! This has been one of
the worst winters I can remember! Check out this care. Hopefully it will bring
a smile to your face and remind you that spring is a few weeks away!!
Today over at Practical Scrappers, we are looking through
our cupboards and pulling out those unloved cookie cutters most of us only use
during the holiday season. Go over and check out the other projects! I decided
to pull out my clay and used two scalloped shaped cookie cutters for the
embellishment. It matched the flowers in the Butterfly and Spring stack by DCWV
perfectly!
Once the clay was dried, I rough painted it and added a
pearl to the middle. I used the Grunge Girly Sayings (I think that is the name
of it) Spellbinder Die by Donna S. for the sentiment and a stamp I had in my
stash. That's it!
I hope you enjoyed today's project and it got you in the
mood for spring. Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead~

Platform Jewelry Holder Prototype Scrap of Color DT Project
Hi Krafters!
A little while ago, I was at Hobby Lobby (one of my favorite
stores EVER) doing a little shopping. I went into the gift section and saw one
of the cutest jewelry holders shaped as a shoe. I remembered I purchased a shoe
file a LONG time ago and decided to do a paper version. That is inspiration for
the project. Today I would like to share my prototype with you.
For my prototype, I used the Safari Stack by DCWV. I also
used the solids from the Christmas/Winter Combo pack (the brown matched
perfectly). After I chose the papers, I selected my shoe file which was
purchased in the Silhouette Studio Store. (When files are opened from the
store, the entire file is grouped together and placed on the mat. Sometimes,
they pieces are larger than the mat and you must move ungroup them). I
ungrouped the images and separated them according to the colors I wanted to
use. Basically, on one virtual mat I had the outside of the shoe and the inside
and heel was on the other mat. On the inside sole piece, I added slits for the
rings that could be stored in the shoe. A word of warning, make sure you keep
in mind the inside and outsides of the shoe especially when using a pattern
paper or textured paper! It took me a couple of tries to get the pieces to line
up properly.
Once the shoe was assembled, I used some brown lace I had in
my stash (purchased from Hobby Lobby) and scrap pearl string I had left over
from a different project. I decided to make lace flowers for the front and back
of the shoe. This is a good trick to cover up some of the imperfections :) The
center of the flower is a cluster of single pearls and I colored them with a
Copic Marker (sand) to match the pearl string.
I am going to keep this one since it is a prototype, but
next one will be for my mom! I hope you enjoyed today's project. Thanks for

Quick "Over the Moon" Valentine's Day Post
Happy Valentine's Day Krafters,
You know I could not let this special day go by without
popping my head in for a moment. I believe we should so our love towards those
special people in our lives each day, but it is nice to have a day set aside to
celebrate it! Today I am sharing a Valentine's Day card I made for my hubby! I
am sure he is going to like it :)
I did not want to spend a lot of time for this so I used
papers from Recollections' Love Letter stack and the stamp set by CTMH (I
purchased it with the Art Philosophy cartridge). I fussy cut some of the
elements from the paper stack. For the other paper embellishments, I embossed
the images using the stamp set and Lindy's Stamp Gang. It has a little gold in
it. It looks great in person because it matches the paper, but when moved you
can see the gold hint.
That's it! A simple way to say I love you!! Enjoy the rest
of your day! Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead~

3D Calendar
Hi Krafters!
Did you miss me? I can honestly say, I miss posting as
frequently as I used to. Life has been super crazy lately. However, I managed
to get in the lab a couple of days ago and would like to share my project. My
sister mentioned to me she does not have anything on her desk. I thought long
and decided to FINALLY play with the Lori Whitlock 3D Calendar I purchased from
the Silhouette store almost a year ago.
Let me start off by saying, this file gave me a run for my
money! I think I downloaded the file before the corrections were made. For me, the
numbers were wrong. I had an extra three but needed another zero. I also do not
like the way the 9/6 but that is my personal issue. Other than that, the file
was easy to assemble.
The base was cut with Bazzill cardstock. I needed to use a
sturdy cardstock to ensure the calendar will last since she will have to change
the days daily. I used the Luxury Stack by DCWV for the pattern paper. Please note, the accent pieces were not part of the file. I used Recollections bling and I Am Roses to
embellish it a little. I also used the Mod Podge Mold for the dove. I added half-back pearl to the bottom to give it a little height and to protect the bottom.
Although I had a few issues, I can see myself playing with
this file again! Another bonus is it can last for many years since there is no
year to deal with! What do you think?
I hope you enjoyed today's project. Thanks for stopping by,
Krafthead~
